Tasks
- Act as System Architect for one of the GPS-owned platforms within the GPS IT Architecture Center of Excellence
- Drive the definition of target and transition architectures for strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and objectives
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, IT Application Responsibles, Agile teams, Business Owners and stakeholders
- Own solution blueprint definitions and transition roadmaps for the target application landscape
- Support the definition and execution of GPS architecture governance
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, policies and guidelines
- Present innovative and efficient solution proposals to business stakeholders and C-Level management
- Identify market, technology and financial industry trends and translate them into architecture strategies
- Empower Agile squads to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Provide architecture guidance and support on delivery initiatives and roadmap execution
Requirements
- Proven multi-year experience as a System Architect within the financial services industry or consulting with banking focus
- Strong understanding of Capital Markets environments
- Experience with trading, execution or derivatives issuing architecture and design
- Solid functional and technical architecture expertise
- Experience with integration technologies such as streaming, messaging and web services
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies and tools
- Experience defining target architectures and transformation roadmaps
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- Master's degree preferred
- TOGAF, BIZBOK or comparable business architecture certifications are highly desirable
- Knowledge of current technology trends and financial market developments
- Hands-on software development experience with Java, .NET, JavaScript, React, Angular, relational databases or NoSQL databases is a strong advantage
