We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer / Frontend Developer to support our customer, a leading financial institution in Zurich, in the frontend migration of mission-critical financial platforms. Tasks

  • Take ownership of complex frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability
  • Partner closely with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high-quality user experiences
  • Deliver high-quality, production?grade React and TypeScript code for complex financial applications
  • Address advanced frontend challenges such as state management, performance optimization, and integration with distributed backend systems
  • Proactively refactor and modernize existing codebases where required
  • Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in both development and production environments
  • Contribute actively in an agile, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment
Requirements
  • Extensive, hands on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong focus on React at enterprise scale
  • Deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, tools, and frameworks (React, Node.js, build tooling)
  • Proven experience working with design systems and large, shared component libraries
  • Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and bash scripting
  • Experience in the financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Exposure to API security, OAuth2, and related standards
  • Fluency in English and German
